What brand / where would you buy the black paint to refurb the guage and shifter consoles?

Re: Black Console Paint (80TexasC3)
For the black, instead of paint you might try Meguiar's Plastic Cleaner & Meguiar's Plastic Polish. Removed the silver paint trim w/ lacquer thinner.

I am also going to try the Krylon Semi Flat. I cant seem to find a paint that coates evenly with the same shine throughout.
Hey 80TexasC3 do you ever go to Texas Stardom car shows on Thursday nights? Just wondering since you are in Frisco.

Re: Black Console Paint (80TexasC3)
I used Mar Hyde's Black Satin finish on my '70 and it came out excellent. This was the paint that was suggested in a couple of Corvette project books for 68-72 C3's (I think one was by Pfanstiehl...spelling may be off???). Anyway, not sure if it would be different for your '80 though. You can see pictures of how my interior turned out by clicking on the link in my sig.
Hope this helps.

Re: Black Console Paint (Pacin'California)
I did my '78 ash tray lid and I was told to use semi-flat, it was a wrong match for my console. I changed it to gloss and it was perfect. Different years might have a different look.

I was told Krylon Semi-flat works wonders.
