fiberglass spring swap whats needed?
I can get a used factory glass spring off of a 82 corvette , is it a direct swap for a steel spring on my 75 if i get all the spacers with it , or is there more involved than that.

Depends on how wide the fiberglass spring is. If its 2.25 you're fine. If its 2.5, you'll need a new rear end cover, plate, and bolts. When I replaced mine my stock cover cracked anyways so I got a heavy duty replacement. I recommend thoroughly inspecting the "ears" of you cover for cracks, very carefully taking out the old bolts and get the plate/bolt replacement.

EDIT: Sorry I misread your post, I read fiberglass aftermark spring I'm not sure about going 80>75 what the differences were, sorry, but definently check for the above.

with Bryan. You might want the longer bolts for height adjustment but you can get them latter if you need them. Do you know haw many lbs. the 82 is rated at?

no i dont know the rating , my car already has a rancho replacment spring with longer bolts but the ride is choppy and ive heard that the glass springs ride better and of course they weigh less .

I don't think an 82 spring will fit on a 75 for the reasons that Bryan mentioned. They changed the spring width in 80-82 (can't quite recall).
Definitely check the width to make sure.
As for ride, the glass springs lack the leaves, which means they lack the friction from leaf to leaf. That friction does a lot to damp out the ride motions. So without that damping, you need more damping in the car. I suppose that if you found a set of '82 shocks, they should be a good match to those springs.

If you need a set of spring mounts(the kind that mount the spring on each side of the differential to the frame) I have a set I will sell cheap.

Are you refering to the spring cushions on the end of the spring where the bolt goes through the trailing arm.
