What's It Worth?
I have a 1969 L46 Coupe that I might (emphasize might) sell in order to buy a C4 and was wondering what kind of price I could expect to get for it.
Some details:
I've owned the car for about 8 years.
Red/ Black Interior (original color was Riverside Gold/ Black; it was painted long before I bought it). Paint is OK, bumpers would need to be rechromed.
Good Condition.
CE Block (date code 1970) w/ solid lifters.
Original Heads/ Intake/ Exhaust Manifolds/ Carb
New Muncie M-20 (about 500 miles)/ Hurst Shifter. Trans in the car when I bought it was not original to the car and when it gave up the ghost I just replaced it rather than rebuild it.
New Seat Covers/ Carpeting
3.55 Rear
Car has A/C but its not working due to hose which need to be replaced.
Headlight vacuum works well but wipers don't. I've bought all of the vacuum tubes but haven't installed them.
As I said, I'm looking for a C4 for a daily driver. With my current budget I could buy a fairly decent early 90's, if I sold the C3 I could buy just about anything (except maybe a ZR1 with 5 miles on the clock).
Your thoughts (and suggestions) would be appreciated.

I have a buddy who professionally appraises sports cars & hot-rods, that owns a '69 L-46 vert.
He 'conservatively' appraises it at $30,000 +, and ackknowledges it ISN'T in A-#1 perfect condition.
But I just gotta ask;
why trade the sexiest-looking car ever built for a long wheel-base Mazda RX-7?

Without seeing the car it is tough to give a price. They have been going from a low of 12K to a high of 30K for prime cars. I would guesstimate you are in the 15 to 20K range.

Prices will vary across the country. The single, biggest factor for you will be whether the potential buyer wants your '69. Good Luck.

Oh, and either could outperform my '69 in every way. IMHO, looks are at least 3'rd on my list in what I look for in a car.
I'd guess in the $10k to $13k range as for price for yours. It sounds alot like mine, but I'm sure my paint and interior is worse. I'd expect to get around $10k for mine (with pulled original motor) if I was forced to sell it.
