Spedo Cable (80) - tips?
Am taking on the replacement of the cable tonight... Dash is out, cluster is out. Clear shot at the firewall... Looks simple. Any thing I need to be concerned about?

Lets see...If I remember correctly I didn't need to take the whole dash out, only the speedo/tach cluster, and I still had to change it from below the dash. You have to remove that drivers side a/c duct.
Don't forget the speedo cable is cliped to the speedometer, don't force it off without removing that clip.
Between the engine and dash at the firewall is a rubber ring (what's it called? grommet?) that will have to be removed as well. Not a big deal.
If your cruise control is not working you may want to consider just buypassing the cruise control transducer and hooking up straight to the transmission, but you need a longer cable of course.
That's about it.

Thanks so much... I already have the dash out and it's on a 4-speed so no cruise. Sounds straight forward... will dive in tonight!
