Default A/C Question (sort of)

Is the R/H vent door in a '69 A/C vert the same door that would be in a non-air car? It is not clear from the AIM, although it does appears to be the same door but just connected to a vacuum actuator.

Thanks

Jay

Good question. I have a book at home that should clear that up, so I'll check tonight. Mine has A/C, so that's no help. Conventional wisdom is to seal that door shut and prevent engine heat from bleeding into the passenger compartment.

What I want to know is if I can put the astro ventilation doors in the rear vents. Mine just has the block-off plates that I simply remove in summer for improved airflow.

I have answered my own question after a trip to Bloomington Gold today.

Yes. The vents are the same.
