Default rear end seal

I changed the front seal of my rear end because it was leaking and now i hear a noise comming from the rear like a humming when i reach 35 mph only when i push the gas pedal just enuf to put some load on the driveshaft over 35mph it disapeared .what could have gone wrong?

Den,
A couple of things. When you removed the yoke and nut did you mark the position of the nut to the pinion so it goes back to the same spot. This is important to maintain the bearing preload required. Another thing is the seal itself, did you use the flanged GM type of pinion seal? It should be set .125"(1/8") from the housing.
There is also a chance the bearing got dirty if you removed it or it's bad. It sounds like the pinion position or front bearing is your problem. If this is the case then it will not get better only worse-I've been there too
