It is a scam to get you personal info .... Don't fall for it. There was an alert awhile back... even on the news.

Even though the Ebay address is used, the clue that this is a scam - they ask for the PIN code for your credit card.

Best way to tell is to put your cursor over the link and look at the bottom of your screen to see what the actual link address is. If it doesn't end in ebay.com or is a completely different domain, it's a scam.

Ebay asks that you forward any scam e-mails to them so they can followup on them. Probably the best recourse you have to slow down the "tide" of these scam e-mails. You can forward the e-mail to: spoof@ebay.com

Note that I've also received these e-mails that were supposed to be from Paypal, Citibank, Chase bank, etc, etc, etc.
