Anybody running a holley 750dp by AED.........
Went to by my new carb and found I had more choices than I expected. I ordered a holley 750dp by AED. It sounds like it will work better for both street and track, I thought I wanted a 750dp hp, but after talking with the tech at the speed shop the HP is more for the track. He claims it likes more wide open throtleand will load up more on the street. My motor will handle the hp, but I do plan on driving it on the street. Let me know your thoughs, I can always change for the other one. Thanks Vince

The hp is more for drag racing. It seems to like WOT I was told that it will load up on normal street driving.

AED's are not very 'stock' carbs and they claim their 650HO DP outflows a stock 750. They're probably great for the strip, but I have a brand new one that's sitting on the bench after not being satisfied with the streetability. I went to a Street Avenger with a choke (like I should have to start with!). BTW, the AED boys were defensive little snots when I called for some tuning advice. Said I'd have to run at least 22-24 initial advance to get rid of the 'bog'. Also had to replace the pre-drilled primary plates with stock ones to get the idle to come down (usually it's the other way around, but I have lots of manifold vacuum). Guess I could have kept tinkering to this day with it, but I ran out of patience.
