What oil filters do most ZR1 owners prefer.
I would like to know the filters most often used and which ones to stay away from. I have used AC, and K&N.

YOu can't get the K&N any more for the ZR-1. I use the Mobil 1 (M1-207) unit. It's been said it has the same internals as the K&N.

the mobil 1 and K&N are the same with the exception the K&N has a nut on top. I believe Mobil 1 makes them. both very good filters. I use the M207 Mobil 1, can get them at Autozone

Mobil 1, they have proven themselves. Run away from FRAM. Can't speak for K&N, but if Ron K. says its a good filter, I would believe him.

There is an oil filter study done on the ZR1.Net for the purposes of identifying quality filters.
I've found that WIX tested pretty well and is available locally for me at about $7. It's part # 51324
I'd probably use Mobil 1 but my local auto stores don't stock them.

Mobil 1 for me, but because of all the guys on this forum that vouch for them and I read the study that says they are unique in the market and work very well.
I don't think mobil would take a chance on that billion dollar name unless some idiot is in charge... uhhhh not that that hasn't ever happened...or on second thought, that probably is the case, but still

It depends if you have Dunn or Birmal heads...
And also if the car has the rare MAF option.
Use the AC Delco blacks, finally ran out, so I think I'm going to the mobil 1

I just bought two K&N filters from advance auto , I believe the # was 2006,s

I use the M1 mainly because the PO gave me a case of them when I bought the car. 
They're great filters and I'll continue to use them when my free supply is gone.
