New Radiator and Electric Fan but its GETTING HOT!
Ok well I found a small whole in my radiator last week when I was going to put on my 16" electric fan. So I went ahead and bought an aluminum radiator from Summit. I installed the electric fan and new radiator. Now my car climbs up to the red when it is just idling for 10 minutes in my driveway. My water pump is new and I have tryed to get all the air out of the cooling system. I left the cap off and ran the car and it would shoot water out of the uncapped hole. It still runs hot. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Without the cap the cooling system will not pressurize. The cooling system must be pressurized for it to work properly.

Quite often, a new thermostat seals too tightly to let the air out of the top of the engine. This air doesn't let enough heat get to the thermostat for it to open, so the engine runs hot. Drain the coolant, remove the thermostat and drill a 1/8 inch hole through the solid part of the thermostat. When you refill, the air can now escape and the top of the engine will fill with coolant.

I havent replaced the thermostat every. We are thinking it is either the thermostat though or the water pump. Any more suggestions?

Ditto henderjl.
make sure your fan is spinning the correct direction (reversed leads?). All foam seals and spoiler must be in place. In Tx. you probably can use 25% antifreeze and 75% water. Water is a better transfer agent.
HIPO water pumps from Edelbrock and Stewart are considerably better than OE replacements.

Is your radiator showing good flow through the upper passes when cap is off? If not , bad h2o pump. Can you take thermstat out temporarily and test it? Is fan blowing properly ? Good luck.

Also like posted earlier , drill a couple of small vent holes in the thermostat after you check it in a pot of boiling h2o for operation.
