Removing the A/C in an 80 vette...
What needs to come off?
Can i still keep my heat?
Any info will be much help.

compressor, lines, dryer bottle, condensor. That's about it, then you're stuck with the evaporator in the heater box. If you open the heater box you can remove the evaporator too, heat is a seperate heat exchanger, can stay in place..no problem. Just make sure you seal off the 2 little indentations in the heater box 1/2 where the AC lines went through (from the evaporator)

Im not sure about the parts today's. I never put freon in the car to test it so im not sure.... I am going to keep the parts though just incase one day i get old and want AC :)
