engine swap, got to finish tomorrow,
guys,
just removed the engine from my 1980 camaro,
just about to take out the engine from the vette and noticed a few differences,
the alt is in a different place and the water pump is longer,
the power steering pump looks fine,
the question is, can i leave the alt in the position it was in the camaro???
can i just leave the camaro water pump on?????
does anyone know any other probs i may hit,
gotta have this done by tomorrow,
thanks,
neil

Neil, you don't say what is going into what, but you will need to stay consistant with what ever configueration was in the receiving car. If the Camaro engine is going in the Vette, a short water pump will be needed. If not, the fan will hit the radiator. In order to keep all the pulleys lined up, use the original alternator bracket. It is good to get it all figured out before bolting the engine in. Have fun!

thanks guys,
well, just got the camaro engine in the vette,
sorry for the confusion,
i have an electric fan so the pulley sticking further out isn't a problem,
the engine that is now in the vette is out of a 1979 Z28 camaro, which has been rebuilt,
i'm just gonna start connecting things up after i've had a beer,
i'll let y'all know how it goes,
thanks,
