Default New Flowmaster 40 Exhaust

I just trashed my old exhaust and got a new custom made exhaust with Flowmaster 40. The old system had hi flow cats and turbo mufflers. Now it only has the 40's. All I can say is HOLY MOLY!!! What a difference and the car has much better response and screams in the higher RPM range. Much less restrictive. They sound great and I would highly recommend this system to anyone. The only drawback is that at about 35-40 mph, the stereo is useless.

There is still one problem. I added a spacer recently and was hearing some popping at idle. Sounded like I was running lean. Now when I slow down with the car still in gear, it almost sounds like a backfire, but still pretty faint. Am I running to lean?

It is quite possible that you are running lean. From what I have read, if you move more air, you need to re-jet richer.
