Oil leak in back of intake manifold...
Guys, I recently installed AFR heads, cam, headers, and other goodies on my small block 350. I can't seem to stop the oil from leaking from the back of the intake manifold even though I've changed the gaskets several times. I'm just wondering of I should just go with a heavy bead of blue permatex and not use the gaskets? Anyone have this similar problem? :seeya

I recommend tossing the rubber gaskets and using Permatex Copper. I'm pretty fussy about leaks.

Yes. If the block has been decked especially. No front OR rear gaskets are used. Just RTV of whatever type you wish.
My engine now has almost 12K miles on it and still not a single drop of oil from front or rear of manifold. :yesnod: :yesnod:
