I am new to owning a C3, so before I bring it to the garage I'd appreciate some help from those more knowledgable that I.

When in reverse backing out of my garage I will hear a kind of clank from the front of the car when I hit the brakes first time. If I hit the brake a second time I will not hear it. I have not noticed this any other time. It's not coming from under me, definitely in front, so I'm thinking caliper.

The car has just over 11G original miles, is very original and is an auto. I believe the car has been sitting for most of the past 10 years if this info helps.

pull the wheel (sit car on jackstand) and look for a loose caliper, or something
wrong with the pads... also look at the rest of the A-frame bushings,sway bar
etc. while you are there
