The 2002 Grand Cherokee with a 4.7 HO V8 (270hp, 328tq, 5 speed auto) will scoot - much faster than my 82, very comfortable, lack of glass ttops in hot Houston is great, space, etc. etc.
Hope I get it back, or someone can buy it out from under me.

Agree that a Grand Cherokee is a handsome vehicle, but the C3's have got the curves. :yesnod: Chas

Larry82, I know the feeling with my car apart. I have not driven my car for 6 months. Well today my work gave me a 2004 Porsche Cayenne to drive for the weekend and display at the Pocono – CSD event in PA http://www.pocono-csd.com/main.html . Well it would be nice to have a new hotrod. :yesnod:

I am going to fire it up this weekend and put some miles on it. Its just that 150K miles in 7 years is a little rough. The comfort of the Grand Cherokee is quite a contrast. BTW, 0-60 under 7 seconds.

I also have a 2002 JGC Limited with the V-8, heated leather sets, sun roof, etc., etc.,etc. I use it to pikup parts for my 72 Shark. The JGC is nice but it will never replace the 72 vette in look, performmance or any thing else. HOw many people approached you to talk about your Jeep? Be  :smash: :smash: :D

A little perspective Larry.I have a 99 limited Grand Cherokee with all the bells and whistles. My 82 Collector is in the garage on jackstands since I bought it last December, being restored piece by piece. I would have them trade places in a second if it meant I could drive my vette on one sunny day in July with the tops off.

Sorry to hear you feel that way. I split time between my 00 and 81, and to be honest I don't drive either that much to begin with. However I can sit there all day and just look at the 81.
I love that body!!!
