Need picture of a steering wheels without the horn button
Hi guys,
I totally rebuilt my steering. The last owner put a custom steering wheels that I replaced with an original one. I have just trouble putting the horn contact, how do you fix it to the wheels? should I put some plastic screw (isolated).
I would really appreciate if some one could send me a pictures of a 1968 non-telescopic steering wheels with the horn button (incl. retainer) removed, thanks
Regards
Michael

The Corvette assembly manual has excellent illustrations in it. It's well worth the cost of buying one. You'll be surprised how much you can learn. :banghead:

The 1967 non-tele should be the same as a 1968. These pics were taken when I replaced the upper bearing.

Re: Need picture of a steering wheels without the horn button (mpeter)
Thanks guys for the precious infos,
Actually I was expected to see a spring somewhere to hold the contact away from the metal part but everythings looks to be fixed. I suppose that the contact is made by bending the metal part of the button against the metal part of the steering wheels, is that correct?
