Default still does it help guro's

as explained in earlyer topics my 81 will be running just fine and then for no reason (apperanent) it will stall. i have it ideling a little hi around 1000 rpm. i have replaced the coil, the ign moduel, plugs,the 3 fuesible links going to the starter, and just installed new jets and rods (2 stages leaner). got it running just fine after all of these then, it will die when it wants to. what else could cause it to die the way it does. there is no computer--put in vac advance distributor. it did it befor i took out the comuter to. HELP

Mine had a bad pickup coil in the distributor. It would run for a little while then die. I guess the coil would get hot. After an hour or so it would crank back up. Inexpensive to change but a PITA just the same. Hope this helps. :thumbs:
