Default QJet choke issue

The fast idle on my Qjet keeps getting stuck and won't fully disengage and it makes the carb idle too high. I've wired the choke open for now, My question is will wiring the choke open hurt the carb at all. I was hoping to make it to bowling green thursday and I really don't have the time to fix it properly.

Won't hurt a thing. Just the choke won't work. I have had my Holley wired open for 3 years.

Cool thanks Gordon. I was hoping that was teh case.
My choke has been getting strange since summer started. I'll have to decide on wether to try and fix it again or just slap my old holley on it.

You'll have a hard time starting it when the engine is cold though.
