check and clean your ground wire to frame attachments.example: my back lights weren't very bright, new bulbs didn't help much, so i disconnected the ground, cleaned up both surfaces, re-attached and everything works, much brighter now. the ground wires on these cars are just as important as the hot wire.
Did you replace the round flash unit? about $2.50 for one of these in O'Reilly's

Check the contact plugs on all four corners. Clean the grime off. My right signal didn't work right until I cleaned the contacts well. No problems for last two years.

Ditto here on the bad ground. Had one side that would work intermittenly. Cleaned all ground points and even added a small ground wire, works all the time now, Chas
