Default hot vs. cold blower output?

Hi everyone, I was playing around with my new a/c controls and noticed i have less air volume with the hot/cold lever when it is on the hot side, is this a normal function, or do i have something clogging airflow somewhere?

If I remember correctly the evaporator in the box is larger than the heater so that may account for more airflow through the AC. You also may have debris covering either or both which would also cut down on airflow.
