Default Steering wheel acting funny

My Steering wheel is acting funny. It is moving side to side more than it used to. No up and down movement, seems tight that way. But side to side it seems to have loosened up. Any one with a theory?

I assume that you have a Tilt & Telescoping steering column. The following paper at the corvettefaq websight has some simple tests to determine the source of your T&T steering column looseness.
http://www.corvettefaq.com/redir.asp?site=611

Pages 2 and 3 outline the tests.

You may need to download Papers 2 and 3 along with the other Pics and blowup pictures to disassemble and repair your column. Further help is just an eMail or a post here at the Forum.
