Question 1 of many: torque for fasteners attaching steering box to frame?
Hi All,
After 1.5 years logging airtime, victim of a never-ending front end rebuild, it's time my car goes back to the ground, and I anticipate many questions... First one: what is the correct torque for the nuts that attach the steering box to the frame? (My AIM is missing lots of pages in the steering section...) Also, are those supposed to be plain nuts with lock washers (that's what I found there) or lock nuts?
Thanks in advance!

I don't have my AIM here.
I just pulled mine from my donor car this weekend.
Lock nuts on the idler arm bolts but not the steering box bolts.

The AIM for my '73 shows 25-35 ft lbs, also shows a lock washer being used with the nut.
