A few progress pics of the chassis...ALMOST done!!
The rims go in Monday to be media blasted, the trans goes in for rebuild Monday, the 454 was torn down this weekend and goes in for machining on Tuesday. Once the rims come back they get painted and a new set of BFG 255/60/15's get mounted...then on the chassis they go and off the frame dolly it comes.
Once the engine and trans come back and I reassemble the engine, they go in and the body can finally come down off the ceiling!!
I'm at the 15 month mark now...

Thanks Mike, the pics really don't do it justice. Before I drop the body back down I'm going to push it outside and take a bunch of pics. I'll post a couple after the engine and trans are back in.
Things are starting to move quickly now. It's fun watching the progress...my wife REALLY gets a kick out of it too (she's into it as much as I am...I'm a LUCKY man!!)
More progress pics to follow shortly

Looking good.
I'm at 2 years and nowhere near that. I should have the chassis roling again by end of June/ middle of July.
Keep at her and you should be able to get some driving in this fall!

I do have to ask how on earth did you hoist that body to the ceiling without cracking the body here and there. Some ideas would be great to gain more work area. :)

Thanks, Guys!!!
It's been alot of fun so far. I'm hoping to be ready for paint by mid-end summer. I'll post more pics once the drivetrain is in and the chassis is back on solid ground
As far as hoisting the body, I used an engine hoist and straps. I lost sleep worrying about how it would go, and was absolutely amazed at how easy it went! Having the body suspended has been a great help as far as extra room goes. When I finish at the end of the day I simply roll the frame back under the car. That way the "boss" still has her parking space on the other side of the garage, and I don't have to sleep out there with the 'vette!! :D

That looks great, the trick is to keep it that pretty while the car gets painted. Looks so nice ya almost dont want to cover it with the body. Good luck
