Default Can I use my 1974 rear lights with a 80-82 rear bumper?

Well the title says it!

I cant use buble lenses since I need yellow indicator lights here in europe, and I converted my backup lights to indicators.

I had the '79 lights on my '82 bumper. All you have to do is drill the holes. I'm not keen to the '74 lights, but I assume it will be the same.

Thanks for you reply,

I suspect theres a difference between 74 and later models since there are no holes in my bumper to attach the lights, they are boltet to a unit within the bumper.

will you be using a fiberglass aftermarket bumper or just a urethane stock '82 bumper? The aftermarket fiberglass bumpers usually come with no holes drilled and the stuff that goes behind the stock bumper has to be removed for the bumper to fit- you have to drill holes for the stock brackets to work and they mount directly to the fiberglass.

I would say no because the 74 lights are unique to the two piece bumper. They mount behind the bumper unlike the later models that mount right to the bumper. But hey, anything can be fabricated if you have the time and patience.

I will be using a fiberglass bumper from Ecklers.
I think I can make my original brackest work as long as the "lightholes" are at the same position on each bumper. Dont know what state(predrilled?) the bumpers are delivered thou.
