A set of headers and some high compression aluminium heads will make some significant gains, along with your performer intake manifold. Also some new cams will help.

welcome!!!
to get that kind of power you gonna have to do something about your heads.
also change the exhaust system too a true dual with x ore h pipe.
A new cam is a good idea.
ore you can do the most common thing too buy a stroker kit.
But then i think you shall find a other block too start with and store
the original engine just for numbers match.

I have dual 2 1/2" exhaust on mine.....Flowmaster 40's to come....but no x or h pipe. Is performance significant enough that I should have one installed?

Welcome aboard!

Like everyone else said, change the heads and put the parts on.

Welcome I am fairly new also. Like most others have said, most of the power can be found in the heads and cam then that manifold and carb will really wake up the performance. :seeya

Wecome !
Heads, carb and exhaust.
Good flow in and good flow out = horsepower
Horsepower = plenty of other broken parts! :yesnod:
