1051mi Trip To WildWood, NJ In '74...
Went great, spent over $110 in gas(due to $2 gallon prices). The '74 ran smooth. Met some forum members there and had a great time. That Boardwalk is neat also. I can imagine it AFTER Memorial Day. Heard comments from visitors coming off of the Boardwalk that the cars were fabulous. I guess, when you stop and think about it, the restorations that some people do are incredible. Especially BIG $$$$$$$$$$$$

:seeya :seeya :seeya At least I got a chance to say hi to you!! I drove 300 miles RT in my non-corvette on Friday. I immediately latched on to the 68-70 interior judging team as an observer judge so my time was very well spent (learned a lot!) but there was no time for running around and saying hi to people - besides, most were very busy judging anyway. Didn't even get a chance to say hi to Chuck but spent the day with his wife, Pat. :) It was a great collection of cars, but people were sparse. Weather at the beach sucked! but fortunately the indoor display area was great. MJ i have a few pics here somewhere............................... .
OK, I will give em to you full size! :) Click on the pic for the gigundo version..
How bout this patriotic display of Red, White, and Blue L88s!!!
Here are 2 shots that capture the entire showfield:

Hi Paul, It was great meeting you and thanks for all your help. You are truly a gentlemen and a good friend as well as a good NCRS judge. I had a great time and learned a lot. All these years I thought I had the correct tires and valve covers on my car and I find out now their not, was an eye opener. But thank you for your kindness and patience. There were so many really super clean cars there I felt really intimated, but all you judes were really great and kind to me as a first timer. Thanks again !

JT, Thanks- Believe me, I felt the same way having my "1974 L-48 Coupe" & my "Yellow '80 L-48 4spd Coupe" judged in a sea of '67 435s OR LT-1s or EVEN L-88s. It's an honor to share the same showfield, isn't it???
:yesnod:
Great seeing your car & meeting you, hopefully we'll have more time to chat at Corvettes @ Carlisle :yesnod:
As I mentioned to you at the show and someone else just posted it, it's a shame when we're so busy judging these cars it does'nt leave much time for socializing  I guess it's just part of the nature of the way the shows are-just is'nt enough time to do everything :(
When I left Saturday at 3pm and it was getting nicer out, you could see the crowd of people and trafffic really increasing-I got out of there in the nick of time
