Default vibration in the rear help!

ok i have an 80 vette that is getting restored a bit at a time and is mostly garaged, but my truck broke down so its been driven almost 6000 miles this year. now i have a litttle problem. The right rear tire is not sitting at a normal angle. its currently tilted in just a bit at the bottom edge, it normally sits the opposite way a little to the outside at the bottom. not sure what caused this but i was told an alignment may not be the solution? the car has a sight vibration, just enough to know its there. i figured the angle of the wheel was affecting the bearings or maybe the u-joint. anyone have any suggestions? the guys who said the alignment might not work didn't sound real sure of themselves. Thanks
