How many of you have Named your Vette?
Just wondering how many others there are that have a name for their ride.
Bought my 81 in Iowa 5 years back. 2nd week I had it I was at work when big storms hit (Common for the Midwest as you can guess) and tornado passed through town, never touched down, but did pass right over my new ride and threw 100mph sand and rocks on it. So ever since, I have bestowed the Name Dorothy on my silver/blue 1981 Vette. (On a later road trip the ignition coil melted while passing through Kansas. Coincidence? you decide)

That's where I draw the line. Just don't understand why people feel the need to name their car or refer to it as a "he/she"
"He only likes Valvoline or she likes Meguires......" WTF?
Just makes me wanna punch something :beatdeadhorse:

I refuse to name cars, plants, stuffed animals, and various other "feel good" things!! I also dont call my wife "mother" and she doesnt call me "Daddy"
My brothers "Wifey" has named EVERYTHING in their house!!! I have to drink heavily before spending time over there so I am able to keep my mouth shut and dont offend any of the "items" as I get introduced to them!!! Turns my stomach!!!

My car has no name and is an 'it' rather than male or female. Call me weird I suppose.

I just call "her" the vette, but I did name my El Camino " Draggin' Waggin' ", and I do refer to my sweet cars as her, she, etc... guess a habit I picked up from dear old dad. But my trucks and other every day drivers are just vehicles. Sounds, and is kinda bad... I have too many cars!!! (12) Anyone out there want to chip in on my insurance payments...lol.
