Default Have the gas prices gone done?

I did not buy gas on the 18th, 19th and 20th. Instead of just the 19th which was the nation wide boycott, so did my not buying gas on those days help
with lowering the price of gas ?

I'm just hoping the gas prices aren't here to stay. C'mon, 1.99 a gallon for mid grade in TEXAS? And, it's a gas station on an Air Force base! It's supposed to be cheaper! I can't believe this crap.

I was following him back from working on a house. My dad filled up the tank in his truck. 33 gallons of cheap gas cost 66 dollars. He filled up the vette also :D The gas bill ended up being a few dollars shy of 100.

No. It did nothing to help.
The total demand wouldn't change by that strategy, only a strange fluctuation in th daily demand. The only way to accomplish something using that concept would be for everyone to NOT DRIVE AT ALL for a period of time. Say a week. Then there would be a strange upsetting of the oil consumption rate for that week and the oil that would have been used would be saved, increasing the supply. Probably wouldn't do jack to prices though.

I paid $1.99 at Food City 93 octane. Up the road, 3 miles, Amoco list the same octane at $2.15.

Yep,......... .36/gallon for 98 octane Amoco "white gas" I think it's that new unleaded stuff I 've heard about. As long as I get my .05 raise soon I can still afford it, I'll be making $1.90 hr!!

Well, got to go I think Nixon is going on TV tonight to talk about invading Laos or some place? I want to get my 2 hamburgs, fries, and soda at McDonalds for $.85 first.

Gary

Here in PA where I live the day after the 5/19 boycott they raised the gas five cents. I guess that was the oil companies way of getting even.
