Two Coils and Both of Them Leaked Oil?
I installed the Pertronix Ignitor Coversion Kit, with the High Performance Ignition Coil, in the summer of '02. In the fall of '03 I noticed oil leaking from that coil and I replaced it. Now the new coil is leaking oil. Any ideas what could be causing the coils to do this?

Do you have it in the stock placement, and at what angle. I remember something about angle placement on those - I have the same but so far no leaks in 2 years.

I installed a Pertronix kit on my '74 a few years ago. It burned up two coils in a few months. I bought an MSD 6AL and billet distributor and threw out the Pertronix.
BUT...check the eads to your Pertronix and make sure they are seeing the correct voltage. Also, check the leads to the coil and make sure there is no voltage present when the key is off.
