72 Corvette 454, no wipers?

72 Corvette 454, no wipers?
Took the vette out for a spin, it started to rain, I turned on the windshield wipers, the wiper door opened up no problem, but no movement from the windshield wiper blades, what a pain with all the rain. What do the Corvette experts recommend what to check for first.

dron't drive in the rain :D I have no clue for the ansewer other then it is 32 years old and wore out

Rain-X! That's my windshield wiper if I happen to get caught in the rain. (It happened on the way home from the drag strip last year and it was good enough.)
Check any grounds first, then start chasing wires I guess...

try moving the limiter switch under the dash (*** in center of over-ride vacuum switches for head lamp and wiper door).
Every once in a blue moon, I have to turn the switch, and wipers are fine.

Hey Vic, got that window in yet? lol! I agree, first try the over ride switch under the steering wheel, it is the round **** between the two pull down switches. It is used to stop the wipers in the up position to change the blades, if it is switched off, the wipers will bnot work. Next I would check the fuse and wiring at the wiper motor. :cheers:

Also if these don't work check the switch on the firewall. When the door is opened it contacts the switch telling the system that the door is open and allow the wipers to come on. If the switch is broken or not being contacted the wipers will not work.
