Default AC Delco Oil Filters???

When I ordered my fuel pump, I also ordered some AC oil filters(PF-25) the old 350 standby--anyway when they came there was a note that said the PF-25 has been replaced by PF-454 a little short filter. A friend of mine said he used to use the old truck 350 oil filter(PF-35) which was longer than the original PF-25. Said it just gave a little better protection. Anyone use that? There are no clearance issues are there? I know for a fact that I'm not a FRAM man>

Have been using the PF35's for while, gives more filtering plus holds about an extra 1/2 qt of oil. Believe that one also changed part #. No clearence issues even with headers.

I use the larger PF-35 on my 1967 327. While some stocks remain it has now been superseded by the PF-1218, basically the same filter but with a check valve.

PF1218 or PF1812 (think its the first one) is a replacement for the PF35.

I also saw the pf25 replacement is super short. Bought the pf35 replacement and i'll be swapping it in about a week. I'll let you know how it goes.

Update: put in the new filter, works great. PSI stays around 40, not very much fluctuation or difference from when I was using the pf25.

You can use this one, but there can be ground clearance issues. I bought out K-Marts supply of PF25s when they closed them out so I have a few years supply. When that gives out, I will use a Wix from NAPA or CarQuest.

Same here! I looted the local K-mart for all their PF25s & 35s about a year and a half ago, as well as their Penskes and Castrol MaxPros (both mfd by Wix) - 38 filters total. Should last me a while :jester
