Default Company Car!

Have 199,952 miles on my 82 and today was given a 2002 Grand Jerokee (100K miles, but maintained) as a company car.

What should I do, if anything, to my 82 now that I will only put maybe 50 miles a week on it or less on the weekends.

You shouldn't have to do anything extra to it, just keep driving it for fun now. If you let it sit for months on end, then it will start to fall apart.

Congrats on the company car, the railroad buys me a new truck about every 5 years. I get to drive the **** out of it, I don't have to fix or pay for it, and just about the time it falls apart, I get a new one.... :D :D :D

Going to have the oil changed and detailed this weekend. Then next weekend, wifey and I will take a cruise and roll 200,000!

Lately been thinking how many miles I have on the car and no wrecks - now I said it! - time to let it rest. Plan on taking is out at least twice a month for at least a 25 mile ride - church and back will do that.

Re: the Grand Jerokee - its a Limited 4WD with the HO V8 option - 5 speed auto, 265hp, 328tq, 7.1 0-60. Not bad for an SUV. From what I've read, it rides somewhat like a truck, but 150K miles in 7-1/2 years in a Vette is not the best drive either.

Shop mechanic wants me to leave it with him for a day to check everything out.

I'm happy!
