Default BBC water pumps?

It appears mine is leaking at the weep hole. Who makes the best AL aftermarket pumps? A drag racing buddy of mine recommends Moroso. Your opinions?

I went with a Stewart water pump. Higher flow... seems like a good product...

I have had very good luck with an Edelbrock pump.

I would go with the Edelbrock pump, the best pump for the money. Airtex makes an aluminum short style ZL-1 pump if you are "low budget". I think the Airtex could be bought for under $100 but, the Stewart and Edelbrock have better flow figures and better build quality.

I think I remember reading in my Summit catalog that the Edelbrock Victor Jr. pump is user-rebuildable.

I'm running a Weiand Team-G aluminum water pump on my BB and so far so good. Supposed to be a real good quality from everything I read prior to purchasing and the price was not bad.

Years ago I went to the speed shop and asked what they had in stock for an aluminum short water pump and they had a TRW. I run it 30% overdrive and never had a problem

Why not rebuild your old one. Tip do not over-tighten the belts. Over-tighten belts cause most bearing and seal failers on water pumps, power steering pumps alternators etc etc . You get the picture

I went with the Edelbrock pump. It looks  (See sig pic) and all the feed back I got from it was possitive. For the money it looks like the Edel is the better deal than the Stewart. JMO :yesnod:
