Looks like it's time to switch one of the cars over from Mobil1 for a while.

Re: FREEBIE - 6qts of Valvoline Synpower Synthetic Oil (Fevre)
Question:
A guy at work stated that once you use a synthetic oil, you are NOT supposed
to go back to a regular oil. Sounds fishy to me, especially since they have
synthetic BLENDS that are available.
So, should I 'waste' my time getting synthetic, if I don't plan to switch over permanently ?
For now, I call :bs
:seeya
EDIT - Just read this on the Valvoline Synpower page:
SynPower is fully compatible with all conventional and leading synthetic motor oils
Is it okay to mix synthetics and conventional oils?
Some of the first synthetics offered were formulated with high levels of ester that were incompatible with conventional oils. Today's modern synthetics are designed to be compatible with these conventional mineral oils. So, if you have synthetic oil in your car and would like to top-off with conventional oil, that's okay. SynPower is fully compatible with all conventional motor oils, as well as other leading synthetic oils.

They must have ended it.
I'll lock this for now. If someone manages to get through, let me know and I'll open this back up.

Re: FREEBIE - 6qts of Valvoline Synpower Synthetic Oil (ddecart)
Got this IM from Mountainmotor today about the rebate. Anyone want to volunteer to call about it?
===============
I read on another forum that the rebate will not be honored because it was mistakenly put up on the Valvoline website for only certain members of some Synpower club or something . As I understand nothing was in print about this Synpower membership or any other fine print beyond what is normally required for reimbursement of up to 28 dollars of the purchase price .
I feel for the people who have cut the tamper proof seals off the bottles and sent them in because now the store the oil was purchased at will not take the oil back if that is what the purchaser wanted to do after hearing of this news . Another thought is if the rebate was already sent in there is not a reciept to take the oil back with because they required the original .
That is all I know about this but the phone number for those with questions is 1-800-TEAM VAL
What a great PR move by them to not honor the ones that did slip by before they closed it off the site, NOT!
