The vacuum can? It's only held on with a couple of screws, as I recall. You just have to pop the cap and rotor off and unscrew it. I do seem to remember you have to rotate the shaft a little to get to the screws.

Yes, the vacuum can. I can't get at the one screw that holds it to the lower half of the dist. It keeps wanting to strip.

You need to rotate the points plate slightly (against the vac advance spring inside the can) to get a good shot at it, and you may need to turn the engine over slightly to move the rotor mount out of the way a bit.
