Default Fuel Line Question

Last week, I replaced the fuel line between the pump and carb on my '81. The new fuel line is contacting the lower radiator hose. Will this present any problems?

The replacement fuel line was difficult to install. I had to partially bend the line to get it into position. In the process of bending the line, it lost some of it's original shape.

What could I use to insulate the line from heat transfer? Is there something I could slide over it?
