Default New exhaust. Now tune the carb?

I was thinkin about this today as i watched my new exhaust system being put in. I had the stock system w/a single cat. Now I have true duals 2 1/4" tubes and flowmaster 40delta flows. Will this huge change of flow lead to the need to re-tune the carb?

i'd drive it a little, put a set of plugs in it and drive it for a week and get a plug
reading. it may just need vary small adjustments.

Where did you get the exhaust from? I'd like the same thing for my 79....same mufflers as well

quoting from the referenced paper:
If you have a stock engine, always start with the stock jet size and work from there. If you have the typical street modifications like headers, good exhaust system and a free-flowing intake, you can start with a main jet size 2 sizes larger than stock.
Better flow of gases out of the car means more air goes in, so you might be running lean unless you rejet richer. :)

cw823: I got the headers from ebay and the Flowmasters used (but in great condition) from a forum member for CHEAP! It sounds way better than the stock system!

Yeah. They are Flowmaster 40 Series Delta Flows. They sound great!
I went with 2.25" piping (only because the shop was out of 2.5"). I would recommend just replacing the whole system if you can. Good luck!
