Mufflers: Chambered, Ravin or Dynomax Ultra Flos?
Can anyone compare the 3? The Ravins don't look very restrictive, but the Ultra Flos have been known to flow better than straight pipes. Any sound clips?

Have you heard or seen MAGNAFLOWS?
I never believe in them till I got them on my car.
they are straight through design also, free flowing
and not much noise till its wide open

You should include Edelbrock RPM muffs in your survey. I've got 'em and they are excellent!

My freind has Ravins on his 63 they sounds really nice no resonance but a bit pricey. I have a short movie with sound of him drag racing. http://personal.atl.bellsouth.net/t/...y/brians63.htm
The ultraflows are nice too. Very little resonance at cruising speeds. It has a good idle and really wake up when you get on it. Sorry no sound clips for them I don't know about chambered.

I heard the Ravens sound clip on the web,and decided to go Edelbrock RPM's due to price and flow. I found a flow chart that posted the 3" RPM's at around 700 cfm which is head and shoulders above the average hipo muffler. They're also stainless cased so they won't rust, and sound fairly close to the Ravens.I get alot of comments on the sound, mostly at idle, but a freind of mine has been behind me in his Jeep and said when I take off the sound is like side pipes. At the Skyline Drive cruise I was parked next to a C-3 that was running with sidepipes. When I started my 406,I couldn't hear his car anymore.Cruising on the highway is fairly loud, but not too bad.

Hooker max flows are a great muffler. The sound quit at idle and really open up when you get on the car. I think they run around 50-60 dollars each.

On the whole the turbos are probably a bit more muted at idle than the Ultra Flos. They have a bit duller sound compared to the slightly raspy burble of the Ultra Flos. The amount of sound does depend quite a bit on the motor itself though. A buddy of mine has the Turbos on a pretty radical high compression 427 & the idle is pretty notable- when he nails it they are downright LOUD.
