Default Took a little cruise and this is what happened.....

A few of our club members got together this past Saturday to cruise up through Virginia and into West Virginia. We were heading to Bluefield to eat lunch then we were going to turn back towards Charlotte. Sounds like a good day, huh? Well, everything was going good on the way up until our oldest club member caught gravel and this is what happened...

Here's a view from up the road. He's lucky that he missed the sign....

I was in the C5 and it's just to the right in the above picture. We called a wrecker and he was there in an hour. The wrecker driver did an excellent job in not damaging the car.....

Oh...... I forgot to mention..... our oldest club member is 89 years young. We can't seem to impress on him his limitations. Thank goodness no one was hurt. The car looked like nothing was wrong from the top. It was taken to a local Chevy dealer in that area to be checked over. The car is a beautiful '82 and was well taken care of before this. I'll find out at the next club meeting the outcome of the damage.

:seeya

RMVette, I'd love to see the pics but they aren't there. Is it just my eyes or what?

Not you ... I'm having trouble with other people's pics, too.
Also the forum JPGs are hanging up ... strange.

Wow!! He was REAL close to that sign

Ive got an almost identical pic of mine going up backwards on a flatbed when my E-brake siezed up on me. No fun. Hagerty has a 1-800 tow policy that covers your first $50. You get 3 tows a year and they send the flat bed to pick you up wherever your at.

Nice looking 82 though :D

E-brake siezed up
Holy crap!!! An E-Brake that actually worked.

Seriously, though. That stinks about the vette running off the road.
