Default Rear Stabilizer Bar Poly Link bushings

I picked up a set of Prothane Poly rear stabilizer link bushings for my 72 BB, as the stock rubber has about disintegrated. My simple question is has anyone installed these puppies? I can't seem to figure out how the poly part is pressed into the bar end hole, and the hole in link.

A straight press in with lube doesn't seem to work, and my next attempt will be to soak the poly part in very hot water prior to trying to press it in.

Anyone with the obvious answer that I'm missing??

Thanks

NJ BB Ken  :banghead: :banghead:

Soaking the bushings in hot water will only make them harder to install. If you put the bushings in the freezer they will shrink. You can then heat up the bar with a heat gun or hair dryer which should cause them to expand slightlyand then press the cold bushings in. I've never done this myself but that's the way it's been explained to me.
