Chastain Shadow rear louvers for 80-82 Vette
Anybody know where I can find mounting hardware for this? I just picked it up at the swap meet this weekend. There are 2 mounting plates that slide under the top of the rear window moulding and bolt to the louver hinges. Any help would be appreciated
Many Thanks

Re: Chastain Shadow rear louvers for 80-82 Vette (80Daytona)
Your going to make me feel old by answering this one.
All the louvers I remember had the small tab that fit on top under the trim, the louver was pinned (bolted) to these pads. On the lower part of the louvers there should be some small holes, there were some sticky pads the stuck to the glass and pinned to these holes.
You could probably get some sticky pads of some sort at your local auto parts store. I doubt you will find any parts anywhere for these ancient things.
Be sure to post a couple of pics when you get them mounted.

:iagree: Unless the louvers were NIB, the mounts probably were left on the glass or torn off and discarded. You can fashion new mounting plates and use 3M double-sided tape to secure them to the glass.
