Search the c3 archives and you will find a load of information on easy to extreme modifications. I'm 6'3" and just fit. Tilt is mandatory.

Re: Tall People In C3's (hubes)
I'm 6'5" and have a '77. It's not exactly spacious, but I can drive it ok. I tend to have difficulty with any journey over an hour if I wear shoes. I can drive for hours in stocking feet though without too much bother. Well...except the heat coming through the floor burning my feet that is :) I once drove to my Dad's place (about 2 hour 45 min drive) while wearing shoes and when I got there my feet were a little stiff. Woke up the next morning and could hardly walk! I have to have my feet bent inward to fit properly.
Have to agree, couldn't use it at all if I didn't have a tilt wheel.

I'm 6'6" & iys pretty cramped if I'm driving, but the 74 is my wife's car so I'm usually the passenger. There seems to be a good amount of space for tall passengers.

I'm 6'2, and have little problem w/ my 78(tilt/tele). But getting in tsw71's car or Chuck Harmon's L-88, it is nigh impossible to get my right leg under the wheel. It also infringes upon my thighs, but I'm not a particularly small individual. Other than that particular aspect, tho, the cars fit fine once I'm in the seat.
I have to take the tops off to wear a helmet.

The personal ergonomics of any car very too widely for anyone else to ever guess wether YOU will feel comfortable....and that can vary with age too....
I"M age 60 ,a nd my first vette was a '60, but what I tolerated at age 22, was NOT to be tolerated at age 45 or so....therefore no solid axel vette for me....
my '87 was a seating nitemare for me, but it had decent headroom....that's it...
now with arthritis being what it is, and progressive as hell, I find headroom getting in and out of a car to be totally critical....this is why, most of my extra height is in my backbone, my neck has to duck a LOT getting and out of most vechicles.....I have an affinity for 3/4 ton Dodge vans as work trucks....and have to slam the seats about 3-4 inches to get my head off the damn roof, and that's no lie, stupid, but true....
in my '72 here, I bought it in '95 and drove it ok, even long distance of ten hours or more but as the last ten years have passed, about 3 years ago, I decided among a wide list of other things to mod the car in favor of me as driver....so...
I dropped the floorboard forward on the lower edge by cutting up to the height of the steering wheel, and side to side, eliminating the floor mounted dimmer switch, now on the turn signal...a la '78 up sharks....so that also allowed dropping the pedals another 3+ inches forward....
that and cutting the rear most seat mounts off the tracks, which bought me another 1.5 nches or so worth of room with the top up.....
took out any and all paddin under the front seat mounts also...another 1/2 inch or so....
now with the TT column and the mods above, even my too tall arthritic azz can fit n the car just fine.....comfy VERY nice...
NOW having said all that, about 90% of modern cars are totally undriveable by me for very long....but I had to admit that new GTO did sit nice and entry egress was not bad at all, didn't even have to duck my head much if any at all, certainly not enough to hurt....

Like people, I guess all Vettes are different. I'm 6'4" and have plenty of leg & headroom. BTW I don't fit in a C4(too tall) but a C5 is ok.

Re: Tall People In C3's (Aflac)
I'm 6'4" and fit in the 68 however my right leg gets caught between the steering wheel and the shifter when going into 2nd gear. to roll the driver's window down I have to use my right arm and extend my hand under my left leg to reach the window crank. Oh BTW going into a left turn requires a hand over hand technique.

Re: Tall People In C3's (Cali,68,L-79)
I am 6' 4", and being a former football player I have large thighs and could not fit in a 68 because no tilt-tele option and steering wheel is slightly larger than the rest. My 69 was comfortable, but my 72 is even better. I think they shrunk the center console and the door slightly.

At 6'3", I'm a snug fit but still comfortable even for long trips. No tilt-tele but the little bit of twisting required to get in & exit keeps you flexible. My head just brushes the roof (coupe). There's a little adjustment in the seat rake angle. Make sure you have no washers/ shims under the seat back stops.

Re: Tall People In C3's (75 Hot One)
6'3", 260lbs...ex-football (read that as bad knees! That's why my 71 is an automatic LOL!) Couldn't get in without the tilt part of the tilt-tele
Once in, very comfortable, and good leg room, and can ride for hours (thanks to the floorboard and firewall insulation :D ). Once I get the new foam in the seat, even my butt will be happy  Wth conv. top up entry is slightly more challenging, butt fairly easy, and my head don't touch the roof.
Now, seeing me get out of it with the top up is probably a little like watching a very large baby being birthed. Nothing 'elegant' about it!

Re: Tall People In C3's (hubes)
Does anyone have an issue with the (nonexistant headrest) top of the seat?
In my 81, I'm short and if I was in an accident, I would probably have a good headache
from slamming into the fiberglass seat back at the top.
Anyone see this - or is your head above that edge of the seat?

Re: Tall People In C3's (hubes)
WE have a guy that's 6'7" in our club and he tried to ride as a passenger in my '78 last year. His knees were up by the glove box, and his head stuck out the T-top. We took pictures of it...it was funny.
Likewise I have an uncle who had a number of C3s and he is about 6'3 or so, and he never seem to have a problem.
