Shutting Engine down with MSD 6A
Has anyone experienced the same thing when shutting their car off after installing a MSD ignition system?
The car runs great and starts on first turn of the key....but when turning the ignition key to OFF...the engine doesnt respond instantly and runs for approx a sec or two...but always shuts down...
I`m used to the engine shutting down instantly when the key is turned off.

MSD recommends installing a diode in line with one of the alternator wires. This should be in your instrustions. Its only job is to prevent that engine run-on you describe. :yesnod:
But they don't give you a strong piece of material to mount the diode on . Again an application that will test your resourcefullness.
