Default Keeping power thru cig lighter???

Can the radio/clock presents be kept "alive" with the battery disconnected?

I've seen those 9V devices that plug into the cig lighter, but the catalogs only list them for C4's and C5's...why not C3's.

I have a 12-disc changer with 100-title memory, but as soon as battery is disconnected..BAM, no more titles :(

Thanks

Get a power plug for your car from Radio Schack and splice it into a 9v connector or another battery while you do your thing...

Be carful about the battery plug. If you forget to remove it and reconnect the
car battery the 9 volt one could explode. Connect a diode in series with the 9 volt to prevent that from happening.

What is this "power plug"? What is it normally used for?

And about the "diode"...what ohm/wattage would you recommend? (I'm slightly "challenged" when it comes to above-basic electrical knowledge)

Thanks again!
