Default What LB radiator cap for a 1969 350 sb?

Is a 16 lb cap too much pressure? Should I have a 13 lb cap instead?
Thx.. Eric

The owner's manual says #15. The less pressuse you can use the better. If your engine runs cool and never overheats then run 13.... The reason for pressur caps is to keep the water from boiling at temps above 212deg. The cap "vents" when the water temp gets high enough to create steam or vapor. Since the cap is the high point (or it should be) of the system, the steam vents out the overflow.
