Default Which Flowmasters to buy ?

I want to quiet it down a bit, I have MagnaFlow mufflers right now and they are loud, could drown out a bus at a stoplight.

Decided on Flowmaster but there are so many different models, Delta, Race, 40, 50 series they even have a new black Super 40 series. Anyone have any thoughts ? :D

From what I understand the delta flows are quieter and the 50s are quieter than the 40s but are larger in size. And like Brett says the 40 are loud.

I have Delta Flow 50s and they are nice. Nice rumble while driving but loud enough when on it. They are a tight fit but if installed correctly you can hardly see them.

I also have the Delta 50s and have to agree that they have a nice rumble. Not at all loud to me. You can definitely hear them if you get on it but nothing like a 40. Anything in the Delta series will probably do you. I wish I had a bit louder system on mine but over all I am happy with the Delta 50. Mine are tucked up under the car so you can't see them at all. It is tight but like was mentioned, you can hide them to keep a real clean look.

I tried fitting the delta 50's on my 69, but the fit was just too tight w/o serious modifications so I went with delta 40's. A bit on the loud side but very happy with them.

I had Delta 50's on my car for about 30 miles and had them cut off. The interior drone will drive you nuts. The 50's are too large anyway. It looks like people with 50's have done some modifications like my shop. I would recommend going with Allen's "off-road" stock style system. Sorry...just my .02 and personal experience with Flowmasters.

i was going to get 40s myself, but decide to go with chambers. I wanted loud....specially at WOT, so I ordered chambered pipes.

Personally, I don't think your current setup does justice to your motor. You should get sidepipes, just my $0.02 CAD. :yesnod:
