Default Whats it worth?-'69 350-350, 4spd

I just got a phone call from a friend....I am going to look at a '69 coupe with a 350-350, 4spd....numbers match....I spoke to the owner who has owned it for 24 years....It has been garaged on jack-stands for the last 10+ years....It sounds like he stored it right....radiator is out and flushed....motor was filled with Marvels....the history on the motor is 3,000 miles on a 10 year old rebuild....heads, cam, etc. 450+ horsepower....M-22....the only thing that concerns me is a typical late '70's trend....wide rear fender flares w/ 50's. and the rear taillight panel has been modified....other than that, it seems to be a survivor candidate....SO....WHAT'S IT WORTH????....I think I can buy it right.

Thanks,

D

The flares definitely complicate things, but I'd say probably mid-teens if the numbers do indeed match and it's as clean as it sounds.

If you want to bring it back to "original" it's not going to be cheap nor easy to remove those flares and redo the back end. You'll have to be sure that whoever does it knows what they're doing.

If you want a "real" survivor, keep looking. If you want to have a car that's fun to drive, buy this one. Oh, and I'd say low-to-mid teens for this one. Upper teens for a "real" survivor.

That's where I'm thinking too. Sounds great and original up to the flares, which hurts its value as a survivor car imho
