How do I wire it open without interfereing with the choke pulloff operation.

Why dontcha just loosen the choke adjustment heat coil (3 screws on round black choke box) and crank it around 'til it stays open? Another way is to simply unscrew the choke bufferflys and remove them. Put a rag in the carb first though, just in case you drop a screw.

Another way is to simply unscrew the choke bufferflys and remove them. Put a rag in the carb first though, just in case you drop a screw.

Dave...I've got one of those crappy divorced chokes.
Lars walked me through the process of wireing it open a few summers ago but I've forgotten how.
I'd rather just wire it open rather than perform carb surgery to remove the butterflies.
